DEATH BEFORE SUCKASS: THE FOUR HORSEMEN LIVE AT SARATOGA WINNERS (CD)

To my mind, this is the definitive Four Horsemen recording. Period. By the time we played this gig in the fall of 1991 we were on fire.  Nobody Said It Was Easy had just been released and we were opening up for Joan Jett and The Blackhearts on a tour of the northeast. We would wander on stage around 8:30  to the sound of our intro tape while the audience crowded up front for a look-see. We’d blast through the first two verses of 75 Again then Dave would  open up and just tear their heads off. After that it was game over. There are other live recordings of us in much larger venues, but when I listen back to this it captures everything we ever stood for as a band in its purest form.   - Haggis August 2012
